Will I have unlimited access to this course? 

You can access this course however many times you want for however long you want. All Elite Nurse Practitioner Courses are pre-recorded and accessible indefinitely. 

Do I need a specialized certification for BOTOX® or Aesthetics? 

There is no certification or license required outside of your nursing licensure. If you can prescribe and perform procedures, you can provide aesthetic services and BOTOX®.  

Most malpractice companies will require you to obtain a certificate of completion related to aesthetics training. This course meets that requirement, and you can submit your course completion certificate to your carrier.  

 Will this course teach me how to build an aesthetics practice from scratch? 

The course goes over all the details you need to get started with an aesthetics practice. We cover a plethora of topics, including supply ordering, medication account setup, LLC formation, marketing, and much more! 

 Will I be prepared to administer injections after this course? 

This ultimately depends on your comfort level, skill set, experience, and understanding of facial anatomy. For more advanced students, the training videos in this course can be a great step-by-step guide for injecting. Many of these injections are very simple to perform, while others are more advanced. Use discretion and thoroughly consider your competency before performing any services.  

Cassie will also have a hands-on training option for those looking for additional in-person training. Additionally, many medication suppliers will provide clinicians with free hands-on training alongside bulk orders. 

 Is this an expensive practice to start? 

A BOTOX® and aesthetics clinic is a moderately expensive practice to start. You should be able to get aesthetics practice up and running for approximately $7,500 to $10,000. If you plan to do this via a house call platform, your expenses will be even lower. 

 Will this course go over how to market an aesthetics practice? 

You must get the word out about your clinic if you want to get busy! Word of mouth is fine, but it can take a long time for that to happen. You must market your practice if you want to grow and make money quickly. Remember, marketing is the number one function of your practice. Therefore, it is critical to market appropriately. Wewill cover the marketing foundations with participants. 

I already own a practice. Can I add BOTOX® and aesthetic services to it? 

Yes! If you work for a primary care practice or own your own practice, such as a wellness or weight loss clinic, then implementing aesthetic services could significantly increase your patient volume and revenue. 

 Is having a DEA number necessary? 

If you plan on prescribing a controlled substance, then yes. BOTOX® is not a controlled substance, therefore you technically do not need one to administer it. While a DEA number is not required for all NPs, Elite NP recommends obtaining one.  

 Are cosmetic BOTOX® injections FDA approved? 

The FDA has approved three areas for Botox injections: forehead wrinkles, frown lines, and crow's feet. Anything else is considered "off label". However, there is little to worry about. Utilizing BOTOX® on different areas of the face is considered an industry standard. 

 Will this offer CME? 

This course offers 9 CE hours. The Elite Nurse Practitioner is credentialed as a CEU provider through the ANCC. CEU awarded through The Elite Nurse Practitioner applies to ANCC, AANP, and all boards of nursing. 

 Will this course provide a certificate of completion? 

A certificate is issued at the end of the course that will display the CEU hours and your completion of this course. You can also use this to submit for reimbursement through your malpractice carrier.
